Here is a timeline of Tesla's Life:
- 1856 - Born July 10th in Smiljan, Croatia
- 1862 - Family moves to Gospić
- 1870 - Tesla moves to Karlovac to live with his aunt and continue his education
- 1873 - Moves back to Gospić and contracts Cholera. He is bedridden for 9 months and near death several times
- 1884 - Moves to New York City with barely anything to his name
- 1887 - With the help of Alfred Brown and Charles Peck he starts Tesla Electric Company
- 1890 - Discovers wireless power which starts his lifelong obsession
- 1903 - Wardenclyffe testing begins
- 1916 - Tesla has to declare bankruptcy over unpaid taxes
- 1917 - Tesla receives the Edison Medal
- 1926 - Receives an honorary doctorate from the Univ. of Belgrade
- 1937 - Receives an honorary doctorate from the Univ. of Poitiers
- 1943 - Died January 7th in New York City, US at the age of 86
